Midnight Pines - A Night Out Outfit
It's Friday night in a small town somewhere in the mountains. It's late October, it's cold, and the fog has been hanging around all day.
There isn't much going on here, to be honest.
There's an old motel on the north side of town. The sign still says VACANCY, although you're not really sure when someone last checked in. Most people just drive straight through on their way to somewhere else.
There's a diner next to the church where you can get a burger, a basket of greasy fries, and coffee at pretty much any hour. The booths are old, the waitress knows everyone, and the food is actually pretty good.
And then there's the pool hall.
It's probably the closest thing this town has to nightlife.
The place hasn't changed much in the last twenty years. Wood-paneled walls, a couple of pool tables, old beer signs, and a jukebox that mostly plays country music. Someone's always arguing about whose turn it is, and there's usually a pickup truck or two parked outside.
By eight o'clock, half the town seems to be there.
It's not exactly a fancy place, but nobody really cares. You come here to play a few rounds of pool, have a beer, catch up with people, and maybe stay a little longer than you planned.
And honestly? That sounds like a pretty good Friday night to me.
What I'd Wear: The Midnight Pines Look
For a night at a place like this, I'd keep the outfit pretty simple.
A good pair of jeans, cowboy boots, a fitted top, and an old leather or denim jacket. Maybe a Western belt and some silver jewelry.
I love outfits that have a little bit of that vintage Western feel without looking too dressed up. Something you could wear to a dive bar, a late-night diner, or just hanging out with friends.
And if there's ever a good excuse to wear a cowboy hat on a Friday night, this is probably it.
Nothing too perfect. A little messy is kind of the point.
Shop the Midnight Pines Look
Here are a few pieces I'd mix and match for that easygoing, slightly moody Western look. I'd start with the bootcut jeans and red boots, then choose either the cherry tee or a simple fitted top. A leather jacket or a cozy flannel works depending on how cold it gets.
I'd finish everything off with a little red lipstick, grab my bag, and head out. No big plans needed. Just a good outfit, some country music, and maybe fries at the diner on the way home.
See you around, Midnight Pines. ♡
